International clients can pay for coach hire in Hungary by bank transfer, card or PayPal, in euros or Hungarian forints. We add no fee of our own to bank transfer or cash; card and PayPal payments may include the payment provider’s transaction fee, which we always show in advance. We confirm every detail, including the currency, the deposit and the invoicing, in your quote, so there are no surprises for your group or your finance team.

How international clients can pay

With a driver on every coach, ECB Travel works regularly with travel agencies, DMCs and companies abroad, so our payment options are built for international bookings:

  • Bank transfer (SEPA or international): the most common choice for companies. Within the SEPA area, euro transfers are usually quick and low-cost; a transfer from outside SEPA or in another currency may take a little longer, and your own bank may charge its own transfer fee. We provide our IBAN and a proforma invoice so your finance team can pay to the agreed deadline. We add no fee of our own.
  • Card, including Revolut: for fast online payment. The payment provider’s transaction fee may apply, always shown in advance.
  • PayPal: available on request. The payment provider’s transaction fee may apply, always shown in advance.
  • Cash: at our Budapest office, paid in full in advance with an immediate invoice; mainly for smaller, one-off bookings. We add no fee of our own.

You can pay in euros or in Hungarian forints. International clients usually choose euros, and your quote states the currency and the amount clearly.

Transaction fees on card and PayPal

Card and PayPal payments may include the payment provider’s transaction fee, as the provider charges us for processing them. We show this clearly in advance in the quote, so you can decide which method suits you best, and a bank transfer avoids it entirely.

Deposit and when your booking becomes final

Your booking is made final by our written office confirmation, not by the payment itself. We then issue a proforma invoice for the deposit. For international clients the deposit is typically the full amount, 100% of the quoted price, due at least 12 working days before the service. The exact terms are always set out in your quote and contract. Any balance is settled on the final invoice, based on the service actually performed, with payment due within 8 days of that invoice.

Invoicing for a company abroad

ECB Travel is an experienced Hungarian transport provider that works regularly with foreign travel agencies, DMCs and corporate clients, so cross-border invoicing is familiar ground for us. We issue an invoice suited to your company, with the payment deadline agreed in advance. VAT depends on the route rather than on where your company is based: a journey that runs entirely within Hungary is invoiced with 27% Hungarian VAT, while a journey that also runs abroad is invoiced at 0% VAT. We state the VAT that applies to your specific route in the quote, so your accounting is straightforward. For larger or recurring bookings, we are happy to agree individual payment terms, which makes us a reliable long-term partner in Hungary rather than a one-off supplier.

What is settled after the trip

A few items are calculated after the programme, from the actual data and documented by the trip log, for example parking, the driver’s meals if they were not provided, or an entry permit. Everything is agreed with you in advance and in writing, and you receive a clear statement together with the invoice, so there are no surprises.

If you need to cancel

Cancellation terms are based on working days before the service: free of charge up to 11 working days before; from the 10th working day a 50% fee applies; within 3 working days before the service, 100%. The full terms are always set out in your quote and contract, and where capacity allows we try to help with an alternative date or route.
