Information and regulations regarding drivers’ driving time and rest periods

• A driver can work up to 13 hours a day (24 hours), of which the driving time is maximum 9 hours. This includes the empty run from and to our garage.

• In case there are two drivers, they can work up to 21 hours a day, of which the driving time can be maximum 18 hours. This includes the empty run from and to our garage.
• Daily rest period shall be at least 11 hours, with an exception of going down to 9 hours maximum three times a week. Daily rest can be split into 3 hours rest followed by 9 hours rest to make a total of 12 hours daily rest. During the rest period, the driver needs accommodation with its own bathroom.
• Breaks of at least 45 minutes (separable into 15 minutes followed by 30 minutes) should be taken after 4, 5 hours of driving at the latest.

• In case of driving during the night (22:00-06:00) the driver needs to take a break after 3 hours of driving. In Hungary it is prohibited to transport groups of children between 23:00 and 04:00.
