The Four-in-Hand Driving World Championship in Szilvásvárad is a significant international event and one of the highlights of equestrian sports. • Three Main Phases: The competition consists of three main phases: dressage, marathon, and obstacle driving.

1. Dressage: In this phase, the teams perform various required movements and figures on a closed track. The evaluation is based on skill, precision, and the discipline of the horses.
2. Marathon: This phase is a long-distance competition where the teams must navigate various obstacles and terrain conditions. Time and accuracy are crucial factors here.
3. Obstacle Driving: In this phase, the teams must overcome various obstacles on a predetermined course. The evaluation is based on time and penalty points.

First, you need to get from the airport to the center of Budapest:

Airport Shuttle Bus (100E)

• The 100E bus departs directly from the airport and takes you to Deák Ferenc Square in downtown Budapest. The travel time is approximately 30-40 minutes.

Airport Bus (200E)

• The 200E bus takes you from the airport to the Kőbánya-Kispest metro station, where you can transfer to Metro Line 3 (blue line). From there, you can travel to downtown Budapest.

By Train

From Budapest Keleti Railway Station:

• Take a train towards Eger. The journey takes about 2-2.5 hours.
• In Eger, transfer to the train heading to Szilvásvárad. This leg of the journey takes about 1 hour.

• Direct buses depart to Eger. The journey takes about 2-2.5 hours.

4. Rent a car

Several car rental agencies operate at the airport. Renting a car allows you to drive directly to Szilvásvárad, which can be a convenient and fast option.

The route follows:

1. Join the M3 motorway towards Miskolc from the M0 ring road.
2. Exit the motorway at kilometer 114 and follow the Route 25 towards Eger.
3. In Eger, take Route 2505, which leads to Szilvásvárad.
